K Series - K Series couplings are designed for cryogenic fluids with temperatures ranging to -400°F using Kel-F® seals. These K Series couplings have also proved reliable in the handling of fluids that would deteriorate other types of seals, such as aromatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, esters, ketones, ethers, strong caustics, sulfuric acid and hydrofluoric acid.
Designed for systems which come in contact with corrosive fluids and other corrosive materials.
Pressure Capability - to 1,000 psi (69 bar), Dependent on Seal Material
Sizes Available - 3/8" thru 2"
Temperature Range of -400° to 400°F (-240° to 205°C)
Kel F® or PTFE Seals Available
Construction - Stainless steel or optional Exotic Alloy
Valve Configurations - Available with double or single shut-off valving or straight through as required
Optional Sleeve Lock feature is available
K Series couplings can be used with such a wide variety of chemicals that it is a perfect choice for testing or research facilities. In addition, they may be used to speed the transfer of cryogenic fluids from bulk storage to transport equipment. Other applications include frozen food processing machinery utilizing liquid nitrogen, ground support & fueling applications at missile bases.
